This fountain is situated on the south side of a little chapel. In the old times fountains were considered as sacred places by the ancient Celts, so when monks came from Wales and Ireland to convert the people they often built a chapel or a calvary close to the fountains which were supposed to be haunted by fairies during the night time. Later, people used the fountain to soak the flax.
