I cannot stand those horrible enormous cruise ships at all. They don't look like ships, they are floating condos, metallic whales, noisy and ugly holidays villages. But there is place for everyone's tastes when they don't become and intrusive and disturbing element in a unique and sublimely beautiful place like Venice.
I find their overwhelming presence quite unbearable in the special Venetian scene.
