This year has to be the worst for families of geese...At the start I thought there were going to be lots... I blame it on cool weather, high water and High School canoe's harassing the geese...At one point we had 6 nesting pairs, after the canoes only one two stayed... It turned out, one pair had one gosling and the other had two then then moved to down the canal to the golf coarse. You would think that when the geese are nesting, stay away... it was just a lack of respect. I know, I have been watch the geese there for over 15 years.. Ask any senior there, they will tell you the same think.. I am a little choked over this... The geese shown here use this area as a stop off point..they are left alone...
