Taken from Harriet Hollister Spencer Park, Honeoye Lake is one of the eleven Finger Lakes (so named because of the way they look on a map) of New York State. The view is looking north with the southern end of the lake closest to the bottom of the frame. This was also taken on the photo class trip but it was about 2PM, which is not the best time of day for photography. Still not great color but it may be the best we get this year.
Honeoye Lake is rimmed with summer cottages as it's less than an hour drive from Rochester.
It's not a very deep lake and it's a popular fishing location year round.
