This morning we went to Atlanta and had a tour of the Georgia State Capitol. It was an imposing building like so many of them are. It was not nearly as ornate as others we have seen. Built on a budget, the interior did have some marble, but there was a lot of iron work as well. It is always worth seeing a state capitol. One thing interesting was that there was a museum in the halls of the fourth floor. It was pretty interesting.
The best part of the day, of course, was spending time with Peyton, Laura and Robert at their place. Rob cooked some rib eye steaks that were excellent and we had a great time messing around with Peyton. He likes books, he likes balls, he likes blocks, he likes running around, he likes watching Elmo. He is a kid. He is a lot of fun. |
