It looks like you may have desaturated this a little. If so it was a good choice because the normal colours of a giraffe would probably have distracted a bit from the expression, so well captured here. I'm sure that there are carob leaves nearby, which explains and excuses the anticipatory mouth stickiness.

Good closeup shot.My reaction though is that the brown tone and the sticky mouth AIN'T appealing.
