Along the Pinellas Trail

This is my final Florida cycling photo.
I just want to show the practicality and utilitarian design of the Pinellas Trail in this photo.
The trail run approximately 43 miles from St. Petersburg in the south to Tarpon Springs in the north.
It cuts through communities, shopping centers, runs along major roads, and has overpass bridges to cross bigger highways.

Some of those features are in this photo. There is a Target and Walmart to the right and a major highway on the left.
Ahead is one of the overpass bridges. I would say it's similar in scope to the Schuylkill River Trail wherein it connects communities.

In 2012 I only rode on it one time; but thanks to those riders from Ann Arbor that I rode with twice this year,
I learned how to use the trail to get to some very interesting places like St. Petersburg, the Skyway Trail and Gulfport, as well as all the little towns going north.
The furthest I traveled north was one day riding to Belleair.
Although, last year on the only day I rode it, I went all the way to Clearwater and watched the Phillies practice.

In the future, I hope to enjoy more of this well thought out paved trail.
