Storm at the Stones

Stonehenge.

To explain a little I am a member and have been for years and also I did not see any disable people around, as at most sites they jump straight to the front and go straight through anyway. Also disable people parking is always free and non disabled parking is alway paid.

Hope this helps some people!

Four lanes of people about 50 deep waiting to go in and I thought stuff that, just as I turned away and member of staff said are you members and we said yes, he said go straight through and took us through a side gate!
I am now pleased that man asked if we were members as I ended up with this shot.

Not impressed sorry ... Can't help thinking, if you're not a member, you've sneaked in 'on the cheap' which has, maybe, resulted in elderly or disabled visitors having to wait longer than necessary in the queue... On a photographic level, I'm afraid I think the shot has been over HDR'd and looks a little too surreal.

A gorgeous image. Fabulous contrast between the green grass and the gray clouds. Superb point of view and exquiste light. This brings back memories. I wrote a paper on Stonehenge for a science class. V

challenging weather managed to good effect...and just about the right number of figure as Gainsborough would have put; they were actually holding the crowds back so you could get a good go
