Ruse Leaves Backlit

Ryde, NSW, Australia

I had a brush tailed possum that for 3 consecutive years ate the nuts & then the new green shoots of this tree.
Alas, the tree is no more. A pic of the possum is here http://www.pbase.com/image/152691598.
Not afraid of people and could be hand fed fruit. My nephew could pat him but those razor sharp claws were off putting.
Amazing sense of balance; could walk from the power lines [possum highway], then onto my telephone or powerline to the roof of my house to get access to the tree in the rear of my yard. The telephone line in particular would swing maybe + or - 20 degrees and would just keep walking.

This is the male possum that took over when he disappeared. http://www.pbase.com/russelltunny/image/148803976. This guy used to tease the dogs as he knew they could not get him in the tree.

This image was taken more than 10 years ago & the picture quality is quite good as this image is ~1Mp. Now I have 20+ MP but when compressed, similar.
However the old camera took about 5 sec to start up and the largest SmartMedia Card was only 128MB, which gave 21 images at highest image quality, TIFF. Now I have a card that is 500 times larger for a cheaper price.
Now that's progress!

It may be only 1Mp, but it's still beautiful. The backlit leaves have such a great glow. V
