Facade

Another misty morning, so after I dropped my son off at college, I went to the adjoining campus to take some photos of the former PJ Carroll Tobacco Factory building.
This iconic building was designed by Ronnie Tallon of Scott Tallon & Walker Architects and is regarded as one of the finest examples of Modernist architecture in Ireland. The towering stainless steel sculpture is 'Sails' by Gerda Fromel.

Too good a building to have been used for that purpose. It's a very good choice of perspective. Oddly the even tree leaning away from it seems to be drawing attention back to it.

The mysterious fog is so captivating, although I suppose one tires of it quickly if it occurs often. A masterful image with those nice reflections!
