A large bull elk with a big rack of antlers has a tough time navigating through the trees. Although I have seen them crash through smaller flexible pine forests like it was corn stalks, the large solid trunks are a challenge.

The fall elk rut is underway and in a week I hope to be in the middle of the action with my camera and long lens.
