We saw some interesting things today. We started out on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River and visited the Camp River DuBois site which commemorates the Camp the Lewis and Clark used for the winter of 1803-1804 as they were preparing to head out on the voyage of discovery. It was a very nice visitor center and fort exhibit. Then we went to the Confluence Tower which is opposite the confluence of the Missouri River and the Mississippi River. Then it was back to St. Louis to the Budweiser Brewery for a tour. It was a very interesting tour which ended up with the opportunity to do a little sampling. We sampled for about an hour. Then we went to mass and headed to the waterfront to have an evening dinner and music cruise. Full day, lots of fun. |
