I wouldn't be Irish if I didn't like tea. It's our national drink, along with whiskey and Guinness, neither of which I like much.
Tea holds a very special place in Irish society, as anyone who as ever watched 'Fr Ted' will know.
It's the drink offered to visitors as a sign of welcome. It's offered in times of joy and times of sadness.
I like mine with plenty of milk and no sugar.
And before the eagle eyed (yes, you know who you are!), points out that there's actually no tea in this cup, I have to confess that's true.
I'd put the cup of the table while I was waiting for the kettle to boil and liked the light so much that I took a photo there and then. And forgot about taking another one when I'd made the tea.
