This trio was certainly no holy men. We were walking towards the ghat to take a boat ride down the Ganges River to watch the prayer ceremony (Ganga Aarti) which is performed every evening in Varanasi facing the Ganges River. As we were early, our local guide had a brainwave and asked these 3 street beggars whom we encountered along the way to come and pose for us as our 'models' at the ghat. They looked awesome, I must admit, and we must have created quite a stir for the police soon stepped in and chased the 'holy' men away from the ghat...
