I sympathise with the actions of the para-medics
Since I live in Melbourne, nearly 8 years now, they have been struggling with the government
about better pay and working conditions

Sadly it's a story repeated around the world.

It's a much needed service. Ours are always asking for donations. They were wonderful last year when my husband needed them

The same applies in the UK - wonderful teams of caring experts.

A service you don't want in jeopardy.

They deserve better pay. They go into combat-like situations, and deal with some horrific situations. Perhaps the decision makers should consider that someday they or their parents or children might need a paramedic's help.

It's the argument that shouldn't be...the health and emergency systems and education should not have to fight for their $$$...!!

The paramedics deserve to be paid well. They are often times dealing with life and death situations and may end up with their own lives at risk as well. They are on the scene and treating people in the midst of total chaos and have to make sense of it all! We should all be pro-active in supporting what is right and just.

Not a wise area to pinch pennies.
