Ichneumonid wasp (Spilopteron occiputale), male

Larose Forest

Found feeding on wild parsnip (Pastinaca sativa) along a trail. There were several of these large (about 15mm) wasps feeding on the plant, along with a myriad of other insects. Thanks to Bug Guide for help with ID.
