My father and his two sisters moved with my grandfather and grandmother to Ohio, Illinois in 1923. My grandfather, John Theodore Boyd passed away in 1937 and my grandmother and her kids ran the town's newspaper The Ohio Herald until World War II broke out. Karen heard stories about this small farming town in central Illinois for many years throughout our marriage and I finally took her up to see it on a weekend in August before it started getting cold. My father grew up with and was good buddies with Mr. McDonald who I met a few times in the 1960's and 1970 (photos to be found and posted someday in the future) and the trucking firm is now in its 73rd year of business.
