We spent the whole day in Rocky Mountain National Park. In the morning we headed out to Bear Lake and took a couple of hikes. One was to Alberta Falls which was a nice falls to see. The second was a "stroll" around Bear Lake on a very highly improved path. The lake and mountains were beautiful. We headed back to the parking lot to have a bite for lunch then decided to go hike around Sprague Lake. On the way in I spotted Glacier Creek Stables and suggested that we go check it out. Ginny loves to ride horses. I don't. Well, we lucked out. There was a three hour ride getting ready to head out and Ginny joined them. It turned out that her guide, Oliver, went to the same high school that I did, Downers Grove North. Interesting coincidence. So Ginny went riding and I headed back to town for a while. In the end, everybody had a good time. |
