We got our tire fixed in a jiffy this morning then went about our tour plan without any further hitches. We toured the Idaho State Capitol which was very interesting. There was no security and the visitor center attendant said that it was OK to go into any place that was unlocked. We left Boise and headed out to Hagerman Fossil Beds which was about a two hour drive. It was an interesting place with a nice visitor center. We drove around a little bit, but found the overlooks a little boring. It was pretty much what we had seen from the car while driving in. Then it was on to Craters of the Moon National Monument. They had a nice visitor center. The terrain was very interesting because it was all volcanic in origin. We did a little touring and Ginny snapped this photo of a dead tree. I thought it was artsy fartsy. We ended the day in Arco, Idaho, at a rather dated motel. It was clean and they had internet so what's not to like.
