Fourteen-spotted ladybeetle (Propylaea quatuordecimpunctata))

Photographed in my garden. These very small (about 3-5mm) members of the Coccinellidae, the Ladybeetle family, are common but not always seen because of their small size. They are a non-native species, but beneficial to gardeners because they and their larvae feed exclusively on aphids. Originally introduced to control the Russian Wheat Aphid in the west.

A lovely composition and excellent closeup. I like how the ladybug matches the flower as well. V.
