The Meramec River in Missouri was in flood and still had not come down to it normal level.
As a consequence, the usual gravel bars had disappeared and there was no where to stop and set up the tripod. I took this from my kayak, a merging of 4 exposures. This is not so easy considering that the kayak wanted to float downstream making the matching of the different images more difficult. After adjusting the kayak speed as best I could, I just took all the exposure as fast as possible. I love kayaking through the rising mist, a great feeling. This was taken at Vilander Bluffs, part of Onondaga State Park.
