Interior of the Umbracle.Its vegetation is characteristic of the Mediterranean, of the Region of Valencia and of tropical countries. It changes according to the season of the year. The area consists of 99 palm trees, 78 small palm trees, 62 bitter orange trees, and 42 varieties of shrubs from the Region of Valencia. There are also 450 climbing plants, 5,500 carpet plants and a hundred aromatic plants. The predominating flower in the complex is the Bougainvillea as it is a hardy and decorative species. The Umbracle also contains an interesting exhibition of contemporary sculptures by internationally acknowledged artists on the Art Promenade.
