Its been ages since I posted a picture of Missy.
She's 14 now, and she has bad arthritis. She was enjoying a sunbath in our game-room.
Missy is a true Tortiseshell... she bites and she is very crabby, but also lovable when she is in the mood.
Tortoiseshell cats are named for their distinctive coloring – a combination of patches of black, brown,
amber, red, cinnamon and chocolate. Tortoiseshell cats are almost exclusively female.
In addition to their distinctive coloring, torties also have a reputation for unique personalities, sometimes
referred to as “tortitude.” They tend to be strong-willed, a bit hot-tempered, and they can be very possessive of their human.
