We woke to clouds and overcast skies the next morning. We hit the trail immediately after breakfast to hopefully avoid the rain. A popular route is to climb to Rifugio Demetz at Forcella del Sassolungo and down to Passo Sella (either by hiking or the bubble cars), but again the snow convinced us to stay low and we instead hiked around Sassolungo to Rifugio Comici.
