Bath’s Royal Crescent was
designed by John Wood the Younger and built, in the Georgian style,
between 1767 and 1774. The symmetrical, curved stone façade has
114 Ionic columns, 30 in (76 cm) in diameter and 47 ft (14•3 M) high.
