Stone panel showing the fragmentary bust of a male figure, carved in relief, his head is missing but the curls of his hair can still be seen. The point of a spear can still be seen above. Although called Saladin, it is much older, dating to the second century and being the funerary of a Nabatean cavalryman. Re-used by the crusaders, who’d use any old stones but as they placed this one in view, it may have been seen as a fellow-warrior.
