It was so good to see it rain today although it lasted for only about 10 minutes, we got about .2 inches because it came down hard. We have been in a miserable (at least I think so) heat wave all month. It's been really hot and humid and just zaps all my energy. We've had 11 days so far this month with temperatures of 85F (~29C) or higher, not much wind and dew points in the 70 degree range. Local weather folks call it "weather you wear". Thankfully we are expected to get some relief on Saturday and into next week. You can also see that the lawns are really green which is unusual for this time of year. In years past we have stopped mowing because the lawns have burned out from the heat. Not this year.
