A reflector or some fill flash was needed to even out the balance of light
and light upup the bird against the bright sunlight coming from behind.
The very bright areas in the background need to be darkened so that they
do not draw attention away from the main subject. The bird is well focused and good detail retained.
Perhaps by cropping out the tree trunk on the LH side would strengthen the composition.
