I kinda like all Buddha's disciples ( as I interpret the figures behind him) hiding ready to duck behind the cloud. Actually, I think that's where I would already be, had I been there. The big green snake's eyes aren't focussed on his enemy in front of him, so I suspect he would have been nailed in the next strike. Gotta keep your eye on the opposition, even in a religious painting is my suspicion.
