IMG_8066 We Got Rain!

At Home, J-Six West, Pima Co., AZ

Our Monsoon has officially begun in SE Arizona. Yay! It has really cooled things down. It is
beautiful out this morning.

Thanks so much for all your kind comments last evening when the storm came in.
We had lots of thunder, lightning, rain and terrific winds! I had to go out and take down some
wind chimes, etc. off the porch last night and tie down the chairs.

Unfortunately, the storm brought fires to Northern Arizona and near Tucson. 19 Firefighters lost
their lives during the night in the Yarnell Fire near Prescott, AZ.
My prayers are with everyone in that area.

Excellent capture of this enormous rain storm. I can practically see the water bouncing off the road.

Wonderful shot. This reminds me of the smell of the desert after a rain.

Rain is certainly in demand, we could use some of that moister up here...
I had 110 degrees at 3 PM today on my front deck thermometer...

Fantastic shot capturing the power of the rain. But terribly sad news about the loss of 19 (!!) firefighters. That is horrible.

Striking capture of the downpour. I read about the firefighters. Very upsetting to lose so many at once although even one is too much.

A very soft and inviting image , the loss of those firefighters is such a terrible happening.
My prayers are with those people in the area as well.

Super composition Carol!!!
I've seen the news about the firefighters. Such a sad story regarding these brave young men. May they RIP.

Cool photo of the soothing rain. We have the clouds from your rain system here, but no rain. Hasn't rained since March.
