One of the four great zooms made by Nikon, and considered by many to be the best.
The only reason I use the the 24-70mm more is because of the subject matter I shoot.
This lens is fast and sharp. It focuses almost instantaneously and is excellent for portraits. I love it wide open.

The only drawbacks are the weight which I've gotten used to and the price.
