I was very excited when I discovered via Facebook that there was a poppy field nearby.
I drove up there this evening but was a bit disappointed with the results of my trip.
It's hard to get a good view of the field and I didn't want to risk climbing through the gate as some farmers take a dim view of trespassers.
I haven't ruled out returning some time when the light is better though.
