This bird was with 2 other Semipalmated Sandpipers (see 3rd pix in series) and a Piping Plover feeding among the rocks on the receding tide in the Boathole area just west of the Gurnet. The growth on its head didn't seem to be impeding its activities as it was feeding just as well as its traveling companions and flew easily with them when they periodically flew about.
