We were eager to get going. It was February and we did not think sun tan lotion was needed. The eight mile long bike trail was advertised as beautiful and scenic. The first 2-3 miles were just as advertised. Then we hit an industrial stretch, which turned into a garbage dump with dogs running after us. Finally we came to a suburban area. We had to navigate regular streets. After that the nature trail resumed until it ended again in a beautiful park area. We had to search hard for the rental place to return the bikes. We found the right place, but we did not have the "correct paper work". We had to convince the clerks to take the rental bikes back, because we had not use for them. My husband and I do not speak more than three words of Mandarin, so our daughter had to do all the negotiations for us. She did a wonderful job.
