Ypsilometopo, Greece

Half of the town of Ypsilometopo was occupied by
Turks until about 1918 when Turks in Greece were
returned to Turkey and the Greeks resident in
Turkey were sent to Greece. This little fountain
is part of a now abandoned park where the Turks gathered
to talk and relax.

I'm very familiar with this population "exchange" but usually only see the other side of it, i.e., remnants of the Greeks who had to leave Turkey. Excellent and very interesting capture, Gil.
