Actually, it's not an ape at all. It is a tailess Macaque monkey. There is a tradition that says when the apes leave Gibralter so will the British. Needless to say, they have the benefit of the best nutrition and verterinary care. Each one has an identification tatoo and a complete medical history. In all, there are about 240 of them on the Rock.
