Like I said we give them close dead trees to fly to and this is what they do. It flew some 300 yards to a tree of its liking. Three crows were on site within seconds, that's ok they would be going to bed soon and then not bother the owl. '

The birds that cause some concern were the pair of red tailed hawks that were on site right after the crows. One even knocked the owl down into a different branch of the tree. They too left after a short time.
