Charlie, a neighbor, gave me some denim fabric and asked me to make up a bib apron for him. I made up two of them for him. The pockets don't show up in the photos. There's a top pocket in the upper section and a row of deep eight inch pockets going across the bottom of the apron, which is subdivided into several pockets, by rows of verticle stitches to form them. One is even for holding a pen in it, which isn't as deep as the other pockets. Formed the bottom pockets the same way I do a row of purse pockets, with the pockets being different widths. Put some Velcroe on the center bottom pocket for when he does the craft show and flea market thing with the wooden garden decorations that he hand-makes. A"Money pocket." Used some John Deere green and blue plaid fabric from my fabric stash for the ties. Charlie posed with one of the aprons. He's in his 80's and still crafting away. The second apron is a little different, with more pocket sub-divisions for when he is making up his wooden decorations in his work shop.
