The Talis

Parijs, Paris

The TGV-PBKA (Paris Brussels Cologne Amsterdam) are built for the Thalys services and are painted
in the Thalys colors. The ownership of the train sets is divided between the four railway
companies involved: SNCF, NMBS, DB and NS. The train sets are suitable for the four general
catenary voltages used in Europe, just like the ICE 3M. The services to Cologne are always provided
by a TGV-PBKA because the TGV-PBA is not suitable for the German overhead line voltage.
The services to Brussels and Amsterdam can be driven by both series. The trains coming from Paris
to Brussels are often also split. One train set then travels to Cologne and the other to Amsterdam.
