There was a re-enactment of one of the scenes from the great Irish legend, The Tain (Cattle Raid of Cooley) in the town centre yesterday.
In this scene, warrior Cu Chulainn fights his boyhood friend Ferdia as he alone defends Ulster against the army of Queen Mebh of Connaught who are advancing to seize the famed Brown Bull of Cooley.
Unfortunately I arrived too late to take up a good position, and with a burly security guard in front of me, found it difficult to get good shots (at least that's my excuse).
Will post some more photos later as well as some from the excellent traditional music concert which followed.
