Storm clouds loom over El Capitan, Texas' 8th tallest peak (8,085 feet) and its most iconic. El Capitan, located in Guadalupe Mountains National Park near the Texas-New Mexico border, also holds the tallest point in Texas, Guadalupe Peak.
