This individual was bobbing/walking very slowly across the road that drops sharply down from the Gurnet and heads west toward Saquish - a somewhat blind spot through which people typically drive quickly. Fortunately I was creeping along checking the bushes and happened to see it in time to avoid it. It wasn't concerned and allowed me to get close enough to get this shot before suddenly scooting into the brush.
