Siding Spring, an important astronomical observatory is in this National Park. Most of the signs in the park have been burnt black in the bushfire. This sign near the observatory (the Observatory Itself was saved), showing the solar system was black but the Earth was left untouched. The white spots that look like stars are mostly I think fire damage to the sign. Lucky old world, signs of things to come?
