Rural

Saxonburg, PA

C.G.Kelly Stockfarm
BETTER IN ORIGINAL SIZE!

Sorry I missed a week of Challenge, but I flew to Pennsylvania (a 3 hour flight) to visit my ailing
father and help my aged mother. While there, I was sad to see that many of the county's family
farms were sold and changed to housing developements.
I grew up in this RURAL area that is now turning into Suburbia.

Sorry to hear about your dad's health, and your mother too. It come a time when we all have to face this.
And sad to see the farms being taken over by houses, etc

This scene is still very rural and pretty. Lovely old buildings and fields. V.

Massive housing developments have ruined south Florida ..... I feel your sadness.
Hope your father is doing better. Take care.

The price of progress. Where Disneyland stands today used to be Orange Groves. Wishing you and your parents all the Best!

They call it progress but it really is NOT because with it comes pollution etc. that a farm never had. Any manure or left over vegetation was always turned back into the land, not landfills like suburbia.
Hope your father is better today.

I am always sad to see that too. Beautiful image, Lynn. And, I continue to pray for you and your parents. That is always very difficult.
