We had some friends come up and visit us today so we spent some time down along a new area of the river. There were probably 4 or 5 of these Ospreys that just kept diving into the water over and over. Every now and again one would actually catch a fish but it seemed that about half of the fish they hooked into would get dropped before they could fly out over dry land. My fiance had the idea that maybe these were younger ones that were still getting the hang of things. I have no idea if that is correct but it made sense. These guys were hitting pretty fast though!
