Bloke decided that we need to fly down to Galveston. His friend Margit is visiting from Munich. So off we went on a perfectly nice day. This is a shot of the ramp at Galveston with Bloke's Cherokee and my Swift. There were not a lot of airplanes there. A number of years ago (before Hurricane Ike) there were lots more airplanes around. Some of the resident ones were killed by the hurricane, but there seemed to be quite a few transients around. Not any more. There was also a big Petroleum Helicopters fleet based there but it is now gone for the most part. Thank you President Obama for the drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico. We had a nice flight and headed back to LaPorte via Anahuac to pick up some cheap gas. Hope tomorrow is nice.
