The Lighthouse

North Berwick

There are many lighthouses along the east coast of Scotland, almost all of which were built by the Stevenson family of engineers.
Son of Thomas Stevenson (engineer) was Robert Louis Stevenson who wrote Treasure Island.
In honour of the Stevenson's and their lighthouses, in North Berwick high street there is this mini lighthouse and mural of the sea and Bass Rock.

I thought at first it was a real lighthouse on a brilliantly sunny day, although that seemed a bit hard to believe in your neck of the woods ;-). A nice tribute to the Stevensons and great capture of it.
