With my day off, the forcast looked promising for a nice sunrise over the Cairngorms NP so I headed for the Tomnaverie standing stones.

I had never been here in daylight so had no idea what the area looked like. It is a beautiful area, but unfortunatly the skies were overcast and the sun never did break through.

I managed to catch some of the clouds lighting up in a streak of red behind me with the massive recumbent standing stone nicely placed in the foreground.
