In the distance is the Cairnwood Museum, built by Raymond Pitcairn, son of Joseph Pitcairn. The Cairnwood Museum is devoted to honoring the diversity of religious traditions though the ages.

Raymond, an amateur architect, supervised the construction of the Bryn Athen Cathedral, a Romanesque and Gothic construction. He drew some of the inspiration from the work crews on site - stonecutters, metal workers, woodworkers, glass cutters.
