Maya, squinting in the bright reflected morning light.

Galapagos, Ecuador

This is my daughter, Maya Kim LaCroix. She wanted to make this trip, otherwise i don't think I would ever have developed a desire to go to the Galapagos. She was indomitable and determined, tenacious and courageous. I salute her.
